Banana Leaf Tuna Steak

  • 1 tuna steak
  • 4 kaffir lime leaves
  • 1 banana leaf
  • 3 sliced mushrooms
  • 3 asparagus spears
  • 1 snow pea
  • Handful of chopped coriander
  • 1 sliced red chilli, deseeded
  • ½ lime, juice only
  • 2 tbsp water
  • Salt and pepper
  • Preheat the oven to 220C. Season the tuna on both sides with salt and pepper. Lay the banana leaf on a kitchen surface and place the tuna in the middle. Top with the kaffir lime leaves, then the mushrooms, asparagus, snow pea, coriander, chilli, lime juice and water.
  • Fold the leaf around the tuna steak to make a parcel. Secure with a cocktail stick, and bake for 12 mins in the oven. When ready, serve the steak in the banana leaf and enjoy.
