Beef and Shiitake Stir Fry
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 300g beef shoulder steak, thinly sliced
- 10g ginger, grated
- 1 clove of garlic, crushed
- 100g shiitake mushrooms, sliced
- 100g cabbage, sliced
- 50g red onion, sliced
- 50g mange tout
- 1 tsp Chinese 5 spice
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 lime, juice only
- Soy sauce and salt to taste
- Heat the sesame oil in a wok, and toss in the beef strips, stir-frying for 2 minutes until coloured all over. Add the garlic and ginger, then the vegetables, and stir fry for another minute or two.
- Once the beef is cooked to your liking, add the lime juice, 5 spice, and sesame seeds, mix well, and remove from the heat. Serve seasoned with soy sauce or salt, and enjoy.
