Beef Teppanyaki
- 500g sirloin steak
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Sherry
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp sugar
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 3 tbsp oil
- Stir-fried veggies, to serve
- Slice the beef steak very thinly (about 0.5 cm) with a very sharp knife. In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, Sherry, garlic powder, sugar, and black pepper together, and add the meat to the bowl. Leave to marinate for an hour, minimum.
- When ready, heat a little oil in a frying pan and fry the slices of beef for a minute on each side, or to your liking. Place on a serving dish. In the same pan, pour in the leftover marinade plus a splash more Sherry, and simmer for 2 mins to thicken. Drizzle all over the cooked beef, and serve with a heap of stir-fried vegetables.
