Breaded Wensleydale

  • Oil for frying
  • 150g Wensleydale cheese, cut into medium triangles
  • 100g white breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Heat the oil to sizzling temperature. Dip the cheese into the egg and then into the breadcrumbs to coat, and deep-fry for 3 mins until golden and crisp. Drain on kitchen paper, then serve with your favourite chutneys.
