Buttered Spiced Crab

  • 2 hard boiled eggs, chopped
  • 400g white crabmeat
  • 2 tbsp mayo
  • 40g melted butter
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Pinch of ground allspice
  • 1 pink shallot, thinly sliced
  • Small handful of basil leaves
  • Toss the crab, eggs, mayo, spices and butter into a bowl. Mix well and season liberally, then divide between 6 ramekins and chill until ready to serve. Top each serving with slivers of shallot and some fresh basil, then serve with warm slices of baguette. Delicious.
