Champion Pancetta Beef Burgers
- 70g fresh breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp milk
- 500g quality beef mince
- 1 crushed garlic clove
- 1 tbsp tomato puree
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp chopped parsley
- 12 thin slices of pancetta
- Salt and pepper
- Burger buns, salads, and sauces to serve
- Chips to serve
- Put the milk and breadcrumbs together in a bowl and set aside for a few minutes for the milk to be absorbed. Add in the garlic, tomato puree, Worcestershire sauce, and mince, and season liberally.
- With damp hands, shape the mixture into patties. Place a slice of pancetta onto each side of each patty, and fry on a high heat for 4 minutes on each side. You want the pancetta to be cooked and golden, and the burgers done to your liking. You know what to do next... it’s time for buns, chips, sauces, and whatever else you fancy!
