Chicken Tikka Burgers
- 6 chicken breasts, skin removed
- 6 burger buns
- For the Marinade
- 2 tbsp tomato purée
- 200g plain yoghurt
- Thumb-sized piece of ginger, grated
- 4 crushed garlic cloves
- 2 tbsp garam masala
- ½ tsp each of ground cinnamon and cayenne pepper
- 1 lemon, juice only
- Chutney and salad to serve
- Mix together the ingredients for the marinade in a bowl, and open up the chicken breasts and slightly flatten. Place the meat in the marinade for at least 2-3 hours, then cook on a glowing barbecue or griddle for 5 mins on each side, or until cooked through. Serve in buns with salads and chutney - delicious!
