Crab Fritters
- Veg oil for deep-frying
- 2 sliced shallots
- 1 egg
- 50g flour
- 1 tsp finely chopped dill
- Pinch of paprika
- 1 tsp nigella seeds
- 2 tbsp white crab meat
- 150ml sparkling water
- Pinch of salt and white pepper
- Fill a saucepan ⅔ full with the oil and heat to a sizzling temperature.
- Mix the remaining ingredients together to make a loose batter. Add spoonfuls of the batter mixture to the hot oil, and fry for about 3 mins on each side or until golden and puffed. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on kitchen paper, then season with salt flakes and serve.
