Easy Beef Curry
- 4 tbsp veg oil
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 5 cardamom pods
- 2 bay leaves
- 5cm piece of ginger, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 5 cloves of garlic, crushed
- 1 tsp each of turmeric, chilli powder, cumin, curry powder
- 500g beef, cubed
- Heat up the oil in a big pan, and add the cinnamon, cardamom, and bay leaves. Cook for a minute, then chuck in the garlic, ginger, and onion, and cook for about 10 minutes. Add the ground spices, cook for a minute, and then add the beef.
- Pour in 200ml water, and season well with salt. Cook over a medium heat for 30 minutes, then remove from the heat and add the chillies and coriander. Serve with rice and flatbreads.
