Easy Steak Tartare

  • 100g organic beef fillet, very finely chopped
  • 2 gherkins, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp capers, finely chopped
  • 1 shallot, finely chopped
  • A splash of Tabasco
  • 1⁄2 tsp French mustard
  • 1⁄2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 slice of dark rye bread
  • 1 free-range yol
  • Place the beef, capers, gherkins, and shallot in a bowl, and mix really well. Add the Tabasco, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper, and mix to combine.
  • Serve by spooning the tartare onto a slice of toasted dark rye bread, then make a small dent in the top, and carefully top with the egg yolk. Eat immediately.
