Falafel Burgers
- 250g chickpeas, soaked overnight
- 1 onion, very finely chopped
- 2 crushed cloves of garlic
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 2 tsp ground coriander seeds
- 6 tbsp chopped parsley
- ½ tsp chilli powder
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 tsp salt
- Oil for deep frying
- Buns, hummus, and tahini to serve
- Pulse the drained chickpeas in a food processor until lightly broken up. Add all of the remaining ingredients, and pulse until a breadcrumb texture is achieved. Form into 10cm patties, and fry in hot oil for 4-5 mins or until golden and crisp. Serve in buns with hummus, tahini, or whatever else you fancy.
