Fried Rice with Pineapple Side
- 1.5 tbsp veg oil
- 2 beaten eggs
- 2 crushed garlic cloves
- Small bunch of spring onions, chopped
- ½ tsp Chinese 5-spice powder
- 400g cooked rice
- 80g peas
- 2 tsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 400g fresh pineapple, cut into chunks
- Heat 1 tbsp of oil in your wok, and add the eggs and swirl to make a thin omelette. Once just set, roll onto a chopping board and slice into thin ribbons. Heat the remaining oil, add the onions, garlic, and 5-spice powder. Stir fry until nicely sizzling, and add the cooked rice, peas, soy, and sesame oil. Cook until heated through, then stir through the omelette ribbons and chopped pineapple. Serve as a side to your Chinese feasts!
