Halloumi Saganaki

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 225g block of halloumi
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 3 tbsp fine semolina
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp black sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Black pepper
  • Heat the oil in a non-stick pan. Cut the halloumi through the middle, horizontally. Dip the slices in beaten egg, roll in the semolina, and fry until golden and crisp.
  • In a separate pan, warm the honey. Cut the halloumi into squares, then drizzle with warm honey and sprinkled liberally with sesame seeds, black pepper, and oregano. Yum!
