Harissa Beef Shish

  • 4 tbsp quality harissa
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • 800g rump steak, cut into big cubes
  • 1 lemon, juice only
  • 2 red onions, cut into wedges
  • Heat a griddle pan until hot. Place the cubes of steak in a bowl, add the oil and salt and pepper, and mix well to coat. Thread the meat onto metal skewers, alternating with wedges of onion.
  • Place the skewers onto the griddle and generously baste with harissa every 30 seconds. Cook on both sides for 2 mins or to your liking, then drizzle with lemon juice, and serve with rice or couscous and your choice of sides.
