Japanese-style Chilli Soy Tofu

  • 250g block of silken tofu
  • 1 sliced red chilli
  • 2 sliced spring onions
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp oyster sauce (or vegan alternative)
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander
  • Sticky rice, to serve
  • Steam the tofu block in a steamer or in a colander over a boiling pan of water for 15-20 mins, then drain any excess water and carefully remove to a serving plate.
  • Heat the oyster sauce, soy sauce and sesame oil together until hot. Pour this mixture over the tofu, then scatter with spring onion, red chilli and coriander leaves to serve with a heap of sticky rice. So simple, so delicious!
