Korean Braised Tofu
- 400g firm tofu, sliced and patted dry
- 1 tsp crushed garlic
- 1 tsp crushed ginger
- 2 chopped spring onions
- 1 tsp chilli flakes
- 2 tbsp oil
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1.5 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp mirin
- Heat the oil in a frying pan and place the tofu slices in one layer, then cook for 5 mins on each side, or until golden. Mix the rest of the ingredients in a small bowl, then pour all over the fried tofu and leave to braise for 3-4 mins. Serve as a starter or as part of a Korean feast!
