Korean Bulgogi Burgers

  • 2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 500g beef mince
  • 3 tbsp chilli sauce
  • ½ tbsp each brown sugar, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar
  • 3 crushed garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 4 x burger buns
  • Red cabbage slaw, to serve
  • Kimchi, to serve
  • Mix all the ingredients, apart from the oil, buns, slaw and kimchi together in a bowl until well combined. Season liberally with salt and pepper, then shape into patties with damp hands and pop into the fridge for an hour to firm up.
  • Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the burgers for about 5 mins on each side. Stuff into buns, slather with red cabbage slaw and kimchi, and enjoy.
