Lamb Meatball Mezze

  • 50ml milk
  • 100g breadcrumbs
  • 400g lamb mince
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • Small bunch of parsley, chopped
  • 2 grated garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Greek salad, hummus, pittas, and tzatziki to serve
  • Add the milk and breadcrumbs to a bowl and leave for 5 mins to absorb. Add all of the rest of the ingredients, minus the oil and flour, and season very well. Mix with your hands into about 24 walnut-sized balls, then cover and chill for 30 mins.
  • When ready, roll the meatballs in the flour and fry in the oil for 10-12 mins, or until browned all over and cooked through. Drain on kitchen paper, then serve with all of your favourite mezze sides.
