Meatball Curry Recipe
- 450g beef mince
- 1 tsp crushed garlic
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp sunflower oil
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp finely chopped ginger
- 400g tinned tomatoes
- 1 tsp tomato puree
- ½ tsp turmeric
- Cooked rice, to serve
- Firstly, make some quick meatballs. Mix together the mince, garlic, half the onion, garam masala, and egg in a bowl, and with wet hands, shape them into 24 meatballs.
- Preheat your grill. Grill your meatballs on a tray for 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned all over, and set aside. While they’re cooking, heat the oil in a pan, and add the cumin seeds and remaining onion. Soften for a few minutes, then stir in the ginger.
- Add tomatoes and turmeric, and stir in tomato puree. Cook this down for 15 minutes, then turn down the heat and add the meatballs. Cook for a further five minutes, ensuring the meatballs are well covered. Serve immediately with cooked rice.
