Minced Beef Kebabs

  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 500g minced beef
  • 1⁄2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 1⁄2 tsp sweet smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • Fresh mint sprigs, to serve
  • Dips, to serve
  • Black pepper
  • Mix together the beef, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Divide into 8 portions and press each portion firmly onto skewers, each about 10cm long.
  • Brush a griddle pan with oil and place on a high heat. Cook the kebabs for 10 minutes, turning 4 times until well browned. Add the onion wedges onto the griddle for the last 5 minutes until charred, turning from time to time. Serve with salads, dips, and flatbreads.
