Pan-Roasted Sesame Hake

  • 1⁄2 tsp chilli flakes
  • 25g sesame seeds
  • 100g hake steak, cut into five pieces
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • Preheat the oven to 200C. Mix the sesame seeds and chilli in a bowl, and toss the hake pieces in the mixture until nicely covered.
  • Heat the oil in a pan, and fry the hake for 2 minutes on each side. Transfer the pan to the oven for 10 minutes, then serve the hake in a bowl with your favourite greens (seaweed works especially well).
