Piri-Piri Prawns

  • 2 red chillies, de-seeded and chopped
  • 1 dried chilli, chopped
  • 1⁄2 lemon, juice only
  • 3 garlic cloves, peeled
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp salt and pepper
  • 12 large prawns, shelled
  • Place all of the ingredients, except for the prawns, into a food processor and blend until smooth. Place the prawns onto a plate, and smother with your piri-piri sauce, reserving a little to garnish. Allow to marinate in the fridge for an hour.
  • Thread the prawns on skewers, and cook on a barbecue for 5 minutes on each side (less if the prawns are smaller). Alternatively, cook on a griddle.
