Roast Cauliflower with Sweet Miso Sauce
- 1 cauliflower
- 2 tsp sunflower oil
- 1 tsp black and white sesame seeds
- For the Sauce
- 50g white miso paste
- 2 tsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp mirin
- 1 tbsp sake
- Preheat the oven to 200C and line a baking tray with parchment. Cut 4 x 1.5cm thick steaks from the middle of the cauliflower, then place the ‘steaks’ onto the tray and brush with oil. Season and bake for 30 mins, or until tender and golden.
- Meanwhile, mix the miso and sugar in a small bowl and stir in the mirin and sake to combine. When the cauliflower is cooked, spoon the sauce liberally over each slice. Return the cauliflower to the oven and cook for 5 mins more, then scatter with sesame seeds and serve.
