Seasoned Tomato and Basil Salad

  • 300g mixed heritage tomatoes
  • 1 red onion, sliced
  • 1 garlic clove, grated
  • 8 basil leaves
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp nigella seeds
  • Chop the tomatoes into roughly equal-sized chunks, and add to a serving bowl with the sliced onion. Gently mix in the grated garlic and torn basil leaves, then sprinkle with ½ tsp sea salt flakes, pour over the oil and toss together. Leave to infuse for 30 mins to get the tomatoes extra juicy, then sprinkle with nigella seeds and serve with ciabatta.
