Sesame Cod with Japanese Broth
- 100g cod fillet
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- 2 tsp honey
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- 1⁄2 pint chicken stock
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1⁄2 tsp chilli flakes
- 50g peas
- 3 tbsp coriander, chopped
- Mix the sesame oil, soy sauce, honey, and cod in a bowl, and allow to marinate for about 20 minutes. Place the cod in a steamer, and cook for 12 minutes.
- Meanwhile, make the broth by combining the stock, soy sauce, and chilli flakes in a saucepan, and heat for 5 minutes to combine the flavours. Stir in the peas and coriander, and cook for a further minute. Serve the broth in a deep bowl, top with the cod, and sprinkle with the sesame seeds. Sheer perfection!
