Smoky Boston Beans with Ham

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 crushed garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 500g pork loin steaks, quartered
  • 2 x 400g cans cannellini beans, drained
  • 400g quality passata
  • 2 tsp chipotle paste or similar
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 100g cooked ham hock, shredded
  • 4 slices crusty white bread
  • Handful flat-leaf parsley, chopped
  • Preheat the oven to 180C. Mix together the garlic, oil and paprika and rub into the pork steaks. Mix the beans, passata, sugar, chipotle and ham hock in a shallow oven dish, then nestle the pork in the beans. Bake for 40 mins, then serve with toasted bread and a sprinkling of parsley.
