Swedish-Style Meatball Burgers
- 500g quality beef mince
- 1 grated onion
- 1 beaten egg
- 25g dried breadcrumbs
- A pinch of grated nutmeg
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- Burger buns, lettuce, and lingonberry jam to serve
- Tip the beef, egg, nutmeg, breadcrumbs, and garlic into a large bowl, and season liberally. Mix with your hands and shape into 6 patties, then transfer to a plate and chill for an hour.
- Cook the burgers in a hot griddle pan or on a barbecue for about 10 mins, turning occasionally, until nicely charred. Serve in buns with salad and lingonberry jam, for that authentic Swedish flavour!
