Tofu Sweet and Sour
- For the Marinade
- 2 grated garlic cloves
- 2 tsp grated fresh ginger
- 2 tbsp dark soy
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp each of cumin seeds, nigella seeds, and fennel seeds
- ½ tsp dried chilli flakes
- ½ tsp yellow mustard seeds
- ½ tsp sea salt flakes
- For the Tofu
- 150g firm tofu, drained and cut into 2cm cubes
- 2 tbsp oil
- 100g broccoli florets
- 1 thinly sliced carrot
- Rice, to serve
- Make your marinade by mixing all of the ingredients together in a bowl. Add the tofu cubes and allow to sit for 15 mins.
- Heat some oil in a wok, and stir fry the broccoli and carrot for 2 mins. Add the tofu along with the marinade, adding a splash of water to stop it sticking. Cook for 4 mins or until the tofu is hot, and the sauce is glossy and thickened. Serve with cooked rice.
