Very Quick Nasi Goreng

  • 2 tbsp veg oil
  • 1 sliced onion
  • 2 crushed garlic cloves
  • 1 grated carrot
  • ½ savoy cabbage, shredded
  • 180g cooked brown rice
  • 1 tbsp Thai fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 egg
  • Sriracha, to serve
  • Heat the oil in a wok, and cook the onion for 3 mins to soften and slightly caramelise. Add the garlic for one minute, then toss in the cabbage and carrot for 2 more minutes. Add the rice and stir well, then pour in the fish sauce and soy sauce, along with some seasoning. Make a well in the centre, and crack in an egg. Once the egg is cooked, serve the nasi goreng in a bowl, drizzled with sriracha. Easy!
