Wild Boar Meatballs
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 chopped onion
- 1 chopped garlic clove
- 600g wild boar mince
- 4 chopped anchovy fillets
- 100g breadcrumbs
- 1 beaten egg
- 50ml single cream
- ½ tsp allspice
- ¼ tsp grated nutmeg
- Chopped dill, lingonberry sauce and gravy, to serve
- Preheat the oven to 200C. Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the onion to soften, then add the garlic and cook for 1 min more. Place all of the ingredients - except the dill, sauce and gravy - into a bowl, and bring together with your hands. Shape into 24 balls, place on a baking tray, and cook for 15 mins. Serve hot with gravy and any mash.
