Beef and Shiitake Stir Fry
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 300g beef steak, thinly sliced
- 1 crushed garlic clove
- 10g grated ginger
- 100g shiitake mushrooms, sliced
- 100g cabbage, sliced
- 50g red onion, sliced
- 50g mangetout
- 1 tsp Chinese
- 5 spice powder
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 lime, juice only
- Soy sauce, to taste
- Heat up the sesame oil in a wok or large pan. Add the beef strips, and stir fry for 2 minutes to colour all over. Toss in the garlic and ginger, stir well, then add all the veggies and stir fry for a minute more.
- As soon as the beef is cooked to your liking, stir in the five-spice powder, sesame seeds, and lime juice, stir well and remove from the heat. Serve with soy sauce and some chilli flakes, if you like.
