Cheese and Bacon Loaded Fries
Cheese and Bacon Loaded Fries

Ingredients

Method

  • 500g potatoes, grated and cut into chips
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp smoky chilli flakes
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 4 rashers of streaky bacon, chopped
  • 50g grated cheddar
  • Jalapeños, to serve (optional)
  • Preheat the oven to 200C. Toss your chips in the oil, garlic, chilli, and salt until they are evenly coated, then either cook in the oven, fry in an air fryer, or shallow fry in oil until crisp and golden. Meanwhile, fry the bacon until golden and crisp.
  • Take an ovenproof dish, and add the chips. Mix half the cheese and all of the bacon pieces into your chips, being careful not to mash the potatoes while mixing! Top with the rest of the cheese, then pop into the oven for 5-10 minutes or until melted and bubbling. Serve hot with jalapenos and sour cream… so dirty, but oh so good!
