Chicken Tikka Burgers



  • 6 chicken breasts, skin removed
  • 6 burger buns
  • For the Marinade
  • 2 tbsp tomato purée
  • 200g plain yoghurt
  • Thumb-sized piece of ginger, grated
  • 4 crushed garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp garam masala
  • ½ tsp each of ground cinnamon and cayenne pepper
  • 1 lemon, juice only
  • Chutney and salad to serve
  • Mix together the ingredients for the marinade in a bowl, and open up the chicken breasts and slightly flatten. Place the meat in the marinade for at least 2-3 hours, then cook on a glowing barbecue or griddle for 5 mins on each side, or until cooked through. Serve in buns with salads and chutney - delicious!
