  • 1 tbsp cornflour
  • 1 tbsp polenta
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 200g squid rings
  • Veg oil, for frying
  • 1⁄2 crushed garlic clove
  • 4 tbsp mayo
  • Mix the cornflour, polenta, and paprika together in a bowl. Toss the squid rings in the mix, then chuck them into some sizzling oil for 2 minutes, or until golden brown. Don’t overcook them!
  • Stir the garlic into the mayo, and serve alongside your crispy squid. Simple perfection!
