Date, Maple Pecan and Blue Cheese Canapes
- 12 quality dried dates, stoned and sliced open
- 12 pecan halves
- 3 tbsp maple syrup
- 70g blue cheese, thinly sliced
- Thyme sprigs, to serve
- Preheat the oven to 190C. Spread the nuts on a baking tray and drizzle with half the maple syrup and some salt. Bake for 5 mins, then stir well to coat in the syrup and bake for 3 mins more. Stir again and set aside to cool.
- Stuff the dates with the cheese and top each one with a pecan half. Arrange on a serving plate and scatter with thyme, then drizzle with the remaining syrup and some sea salt flakes before serving.
