Gammon Steaks Topped with Cauliflower Cheese

  • 4 raw gammon steaks
  • 1 cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 100ml crème fraîche
  • 90g grated cheddar
  • 1 tbsp wholegrain mustard
  • Preheat the grill to high. Put the gammon steaks on a baking tray and grill on one side for 10 mins to crisp the fat. Meanwhile, boil the cauliflower for 5 mins, drain and tip into a bowl with the crème fraîche, mustard and ⅔ of the cheese. Mix well.
  • Flip the gammon over and cook for 10 mins on the other side. Spoon generous portions of the cauliflower cheese onto the steaks, sprinkle with more cheese, and grill for 5 mins until bubbling and golden. Serve with all your favourite sides.
