Grilled Bratwurst with Quick Sauerkraut and Grain Mustard

  • 4 pork bratwurst sausages
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 400g tin sauerkraut, drained
  • 1 tsp caraway seeds
  • 2 tbsp grain mustard
  • 4 hot dog rolls or crusty bread rolls
  • Salt and pepper
  • Heat a grill pan or barbecue to high. Brush the bratwurst with olive oil and grill for 10 to 12 minutes, turning regularly, until cooked through and lightly charred.
  • While the sausages cook, warm the drained sauerkraut in a small saucepan with the caraway seeds over medium heat for 5 minutes. Season to taste.
  • Serve the bratwurst in rolls, topped with warm sauerkraut and a generous smear of grain mustard.
