Peppered Beef
- 2 sirloin steaks
- 1 tsp coloured peppercorns, coarsely crushed
- Sea salt flakes
- 60g yoghurt
- 1⁄2 tsp horseradish sauce
- 1⁄2 crushed garlic clove
- 50g watercress or rocket
- 30g sliced mushrooms
- 1⁄2 red onion, sliced
- 1 tsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper
- Rub your steaks with the salt flakes and crushed peppercorns. Mix together the yoghurt, horseradish, and garlic, season well, then toss with the salad leaves, mushrooms and most of the red onion.
- Fry the steaks in a splash of olive oil for 2 minutes on each side (or to your liking), and serve sliced on a bed of your peppery salad. Garnish with the remaining red onion.
