Prawn Dim Sum
- 250g raw king prawns, peeled and cleaned
- 50g tinned bamboo shoots, sliced
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp rice wine
- 1⁄4 tsp white pepper
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 16 ready-made dim sum wrappers
- Dips, for serving
- Pop the prawns into a food processor and blend to a puree. Transfer to a bowl, and add all of the other ingredients (apart from the dim sum wrappers) and mix well. Place the wrappers on a work surface and spoon some of the prawn mix into the centre of each one. Fold to create a semi-circle, and with damp fingers, seal and crimp the edges.
- Place the parcels into a steamer over a pan of simmering water, and allow to steam for 5 minutes. Serve immediately with your choice of dips, or just with some soy sauce and chilli. Delicious!
