Sausage Goulash
Sausage Goulash

  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Knob of butter
  • 750g beef sausages, chopped
  • 250g chorizo sausage, chopped
  • 2 sliced onions
  • 1 chopped garlic clove
  • 2 tbsp seasoned flour
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 2 chopped red chillies
  • 1 chopped red pepper
  • 200ml beef stock
  • Soured cream and parsley, to serve
  • Preheat the oven to 160C. Heat the oil and butter in a large ovenproof frying pan or casserole and fry the chorizo and beef sausages until browned all over. Remove from the pan and set aside, then toss the onions into the pan and cook for 3 mins, followed by the garlic. Cook for a minute or two more, then tip in the flour, paprika, chillies and red pepper and stir to combine.
  • Add the stock to the pan and return the meat to the mixture. Pop the pan in the oven and cook for about 35 mins. Skim off the excess fat, then serve with chopped parsley and a dollop of soured cream - delicious!
