Full-Time Wine Bar & Bottle Shop Associate

TL;DR

You'll split your time between our wine bar, bottle shop and kitchen, helping guests discover new wines, serving food, recommending pairings and creating the kind of experience that keeps people coming back.

You'll need a solid foundation of wine knowledge (WSET Level 2 or equivalent is preferred), confidence talking to people from complete beginners to self proclaimed wine nerds, and a genuine love of hospitality. As a wine bar, our busiest times are evenings and weekends, so you'll need to be happy working those shifts.

If you're equally happy pouring a glass, plating up a board or small plate, recommending the perfect bottle for dinner and having a chat with customers, we'd love to meet you.

About the Role

This isn't your typical wine bar job.

One minute you'll be helping someone choose a bottle for date night, the next you'll be selecting and pouring a wine flight, assembling small bites, or signing someone up to their first Good Pair Days subscription.

You'll move between retail, hospitality and light food preparation throughout your shift — think boards, light bites and small plates that pair beautifully with what's in the glass — so we're looking for someone who enjoys variety and is adaptable.

Above all, you'll help create the welcoming, approachable atmosphere we're known for. A space where everyone feels comfortable asking questions, trying something new and discovering their next favourite wine.

With the launch of our first physical store and wine bar, we are bringing our unique approach to wine retail into a real space where customers can explore, taste, learn, and connect.

This is not just a shop. It is a bar, a classroom, and a community space.

Who You Are

• First and foremost, you genuinely love wine and love talking about it.
• WSET Level 2 (or equivalent wine knowledge) is strongly preferred.
• You have experience in hospitality, retail or wine service.
• You're just as comfortable recommending a bottle as you are preparing a board or small plate, or working a busy floor on a Saturday night.
• You're happy working evenings and weekends — that's when our bar comes alive.
• You have a warm, outgoing personality and know how to make people feel welcome.
• You can adapt your wine knowledge to suit everyone; from complete beginners to wine aficionados.
• You take pride in presentation and attention to detail.
• You enjoy working as part of a close-knit team.
• You're always keen to keep learning.

Role Details

Salary: $60,000 to $70,000 depending on experience
