Piquant Bean Pate



  • 100g butter beans from a can, drained
  • 1 tbsp wholegrain mustard
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 slices of baguette
  • 1 garlic clove, peeled and halved
  • Tip the beans, mustard, oil, and lemon into a food processor, season well, and blend until smooth.
  • Meanwhile heat up a griddle pan until smoking, and place the bread slices onto it. Griddle for 2 minutes on each side, then rub with the cut side of the garlic. Serve the toasted baguette topped generously with the pate.
