  • 3 fresh figs
  • 50g camembert
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 3 rashers of streaky or American style bacon
  • Preheat your oven to 200C. Prepare your figs by making a criss-cross with a sharp knife at the very top, then pinching the base firmly to expand the opening. Stuff each fig with a hunk of Camembert, and season well with salt and pepper.
  • Heat a small frying pan and melt the butter. Fry the figs for about a minute, then transfer the pan to the oven. You want to roast your figs for 6-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, golden, and delicious.
  • While your figs are roasting, get your bacon frying in a separate pan. Cook on each side for a couple of minutes until crisp. Remove the figs from the oven, and wrap a rasher of bacon around each one to serve - it’s a perfectly opulent and delicious treat!
