Ingredients
Method
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 15g basil leaves
- 500g passata
- 50g soft cheese
- 400g gnocchi
- 40g pecorino
- Peas and broccoli, to serve
- Preheat the oven to 220C. Add the olive oil to a large oven-proof pan, and fry 2 basil sprigs for 2 mins before removing with a slotted spoon and draining on kitchen paper. Return the pan to the heat and pour in the passata and cream cheese. Simmer and stir to combine for 5 mins, then chop the fried basil and stir through the sauce.
- Fold the gnocchi into the simmering sauce and cook for 5 mins. Sprinkle with ¾ of the cheese, then cook in the oven for 15 mins, or until golden. Scatter with the remaining cheese, sprinkle with torn basil and black pepper, and serve with steamed greens.
